Dual U.2 to PCIe 4.0 X8 Adapter: By installing 2 x U.2 SSDs on this PCIe 4.0 X8 adapter, your computer will be able to access 2 x U.2 SSDs at the same time
Hardware Platform: Support Soft RAID in Intel/AMD platform, not support Mac Pro 5.1 (Note: To set up Intel's RAID-on-CPU (VROC), you need to purchase your license)
Set the PCIe Bifurcation mode of the corresponding PCIe slot in the BIOS, support X4X4X4X4 or X4X4X8 or Hyper M.2 X16 mode (Note: Can not support X8X4X4 mode)
Important: Because this adapter does not support PCIe Bifurcation, it requires a motherboard that supports PCIe Bifurcation. Otherwise, only the Port-1 port can recognize the U.2 SSD. Before purchasing, please check the PCIe expansion slot part of the motherboard manual on the motherboard manufacturer's website, or consult us directly
To reach PCIe 4.0 X4 (64Gbps) full speed, the CPU and motherboard PCIe slot and PCIe M.2 SSD should all be PCIe 4.0 features (Note: PCIe 4.0 is not supported on Intel CPUs below 11th generation)
Support OS Booting: Reinstall the OS, and set up BIOS/UEFI boot from this U.2 SSD (Note: Some motherboards are too old to support OS booting. In this case, U.2 SSDs can be used as storage disks)
OS compatibility: Plug-and-play in Windows 11/10/8/Linux/Mac OS (Note: Not support Windows 7). The new U.2 SSD needs to be initialized and formatted before it can be recognized by the computer host.

PCIE Bifurcation Setup in BIOS/UEFI

Noted: This Dual U.2 PCIe SSD Host Adapter can not split PCIE X8 to PCIe X4X4, so your motherboard must support the PCIE Bifurcation function. Otherwise, only one U.2 SSD will be recognized. If you are not sure PCIe Bifurcation of your motherboard, please provide the motherboard information, and we will reply within 24 hours.
Setup PCIE splitter in BIOS/UEFI into X4X4X4X4 or X4X4 (Compatible with Hyper M.2 X16 mode in ASUS).
Note: In mode X8X4X4, only one U.2 SSD will be recognized.

When you find 2 separate M.2 NVMe SSDs in Disk Management of Windows 10
Right-click the disk volume, which you want to set soft RAID
A pop-up window appears, click the option (Spanned/Striped/Mirrored)
Noted: You can set up soft RAID in Linux/Mac/3rd party software also.

PCI-Express X8 Full Speed

Compatible with PCIe 4.0/3.0/2.0 motherboards, and installed into PCI-Express X8 lane.
To reach PCIe 4.0 speed, make sure your CPU and motherboard, and PCIe SSDs are all PCIe 4.0 enabled.
To reach PCIe X8 full bandwidth, set up 2 x U.2 SSD into RAID 0 mode.

This kit (board, screwdriver, screws), works exactly as promised and is nice quality.

Please make sure you motherboard supports bifurcation on the PCI slot you intend to use and ensure that you configure the slot in bios to bifurcate the signal.

The whole process was painless and once set in bios the drives will just register as normal pcie attached drives in your system. I chose to put them together the through storages spaces, but they will show up in disk management as normal drives.

The system I the photo is a threadripper 7970x in an Asus WS trx50-sage motherboard with 384gb ddr5 5600 micron memory. Because my graphics card takes up two slot, I am using slot pciex16(g5)_3 which supports 4x4 bifurcation (hence why I am ony attaching 2 drives). The bottom slot also supports 4x4x4x4, but I didn't need 4 drives at this time.

Leider musste ich feststellen, dass die Karte nur auf PCIe 3.0 und nicht 4.0 läuft, was natürlich einen extremen Geschwindigkeitsunterschied ausmacht.
Leider wurde unter Linux die 2. U.2 SSD erst gar nicht erkannt, während unter Windows dies kein Problem war. Dies habe ich auch mit mehreren HEDT Systemen getestet.
Habe mir nun eine andere doppelt so teure Karte gekauft. Diese macht auch was sie verspricht. Hier aber Finger davon!
