Dishwasher door spring cable kit 00754866 attaches to the door hinges, that helps balance and support the weight of the door as itopens and closes. It applies tension to the door through the door hinge to prevent the door from dropping too quickly when you open the dishwasher.

This door spring repair kit is an upgrade on OEM design, upgraded stainless steel springs have better elastic and tensile strength, snap installation (anti-break design) makes it more solid and easy to install.

My Bosch dishwasher door retractable mechanism broke one day. Apparently it's a common thing but I've had my dishwasher for 8 years and this is the first time it happened. In any case I found this part on �鶹�� and it looked like an easy fix. There are tons of instructions on You tube

The fix took about 5 minutes.

The part fits exactly like an oem part. For the most part the build quality looks a lot better than the OEM part. The weakest link for the OEM part is the plastic tabs. The plastic tab on the spring broke for me as well as the plastic tab that holds the rope. On this replica part D spring tab is all metal and it will not break. The tab that holds the rope is still plastic. There are a few reviews here saying that within half a year it broke but they didn't specify what broke. I think basically the plastic anchor that holds the rope is likely to break. Just like the OEM part.

If you handle your door rough and put lots of weight on your door then obviously the plastic will break. I don't ever do that.

In any case so far so good. We'll see months later if this thing holds up. I will update this review after 6 months and after 1 year.

By the way the pictures I uploaded shows the OEM part versus the new part side by side

While opening the door of our Bosch dishwasher, it made a big "clunk" noise, and the door suddenly got heavier. Once we pulled the dishwasher out, it was very easy to spot that the cable holding one of the two springs that support the weight of the door had broken. Unfortunately, the force of the spring snapping back broke the molded plastic frame of the door where the spring was attached (see left-most spring in picture). At first I thought I was going to have to find a replacement door! After some research on line, I discovered that the molded plastic breaking is a common problem, and that the spring assembly has been redesigned with a metal plate that slides into an existing slot in the doorframe (see middle & right in picture). The fix was very easy to do, and took only 10 minutes. Great product, good quality, reasonable price. I gave it 4/5 stars because it does not come with any kind of installation instructions. I definitely recommend this product, but you should watch some how-to videos on-line for replacing the spring assembly on Bosch dishwashers before you try doing it yourself if you are not at all handy. Bosch factory original used a plastic tab to anchor the spring into place on the dishwasher mount. The replacement uses a metal tab to anchor the spring. The nylon cable mechanism is the same as the factory original. Be sure to order the dual spring kit with the cables; because as was in my case both cables had snapped plus the one plastic spring anchor had broke. After a person wrestles the dishwasher out from under the counter, the springs are easy to get at on both sides of the dishwasher for repairs.
