My husband heard something breaking when he opened the dishwasher.
He was like "NOOOOOOOO!!!"
He found a white plastic thing on the floor.
And we couldn't believe that for something that supports the door is made out of plastic and a nylon rope.
I told him we should first see if we can fix it first.
And he found a youtube video which led to buying this part.
It turned out the broken piece was a small plastic part but this replacement had a metal piece.
The white part is still the same, but the little part where it attach to the metal part is made out of metal instead of the plastic like the original part.
So he thinks that this replacement will last longer.
He said "I can't believe I just saved $3000!!".
Exaggerated, but you get the point. :)
He wasn't comfortable pulling the dishwasher out but he did, and the part is in the outside of the machine, so wasn't hard to replace it.
