Pros and Cons of my experience with this product:
Pros: timely delivery, virtually the same configuration as the ones they were replacing (original burners from Maytag performance series range), heats up quickly, fit relatively well.
Cons: oil coating on the burner coils presumably to keep them from corroding or deteriorating in packaging seems to continue to burn off after multiple uses. Smoke and smell come off the burners when initially heating up after more than 10 uses.
Although they looked very similar to originals, same number of wraps and coiled plug in ends, etc...the electrode ends were not the same length as the original Maytag burners, they were slightly longer. This meant that when plugging in the electrode ends into the receiver cup for the burner coil the fit was very tight to get the burner and supporting frame into the drip cups. All 4 were very tight fits. In order to have them fit correctly, it required removing the set screw holding the electrode receiver cups in place.
Biggest negative however, and as shown in the photos, was the burn/break-through of one of the larger burners. While cooking with a frying pan, and having my back to the stove for a moment, I heard a loud 'pop' sound, then what can only be described as the sound made when a welding torch is being used.
I turned around towards the noise, and noticed that under the frying pan there was a bright light, and arcing electricity could be seen.
Quickly turning the dial off to the burner, and grabbing the pan handle with a thick oven mitt I removed the pan, which briefly stuck on the burner, seemingly spot welded onto the burner.
After letting the burner cool, it was removed and inspected, and as seen in the photos, the burner coil was faulty and burned through the coil...arcing electricity to the frying pan bottom.
Scary, and definitely a fire hazzard. Would love a replacement, since this one cannot be used, but more than a month has passed since purchase...so it would seem only an honest review of a fair at best, and potentially very dangerous product is my recourse.
