Worked on my older Acer 24“ monitor

Working from home for the time being I found my home desktop too limited to have 2 monitors side by side so I looked for a vertical monitor holder with base as a clamping was out with a desk hutch in the way. I found a suitable one, but then I wondered if both monitors would fit on it so I proceeded to take measurements. That's when I noticed one of them did not (?!) have any holes for a VESA bracket (?!). I then wasted a lot of time looking online for a replacement monitor with the holes before I thought, wait, maybe there's a bracket that's available. I found this one rather quickly and after some comparison between a few, I opted for this one based on some of the Q&A responses to questions I had.
Easy to assemble, it fits my monitor relatively well, but the screen adjustment buttons are on the bottom right side of it so to prevent them from being perpetually pressed on by the bracket claw, I tilted them inwards a bit on both sides and lined them up nicely, and voila, problem solved!

I used two such adapters to mount my non-VESA monitors on a arms, and clear up some room on my desk.

These things work well enough, but I won't lie - you'll be fidgeting with them for a while before you get them on properly. Not impossible, but definitely annoying.

The nice thing is that they do come with most of what you need to set them up. What I found, however, was that the bottom of my monitor is thicker than the top, so I had to insert a spacer between the metal bracket and the plastic peg such that I would be able to tighten the screw down, and hold the plastic peg in place (otherwise it would spin, making it much more difficult to mount the damned thing on the monitor).

Additionally, the metal brackets each have two screws built into them, which are meant to attach to a VESA plate for mounting purposes. Well, guess what? They're larger than standard VESA screws, so I had to drill the plate and expand the holes on the VIVO system I bought to use in conjunction with these adapters.

Everything worked out well, and I love how cheap these adapters were, but be warned that some MacGyver-ing may be required.

Need a slight mod to use with an arm

I bought this along with dual monitor arm by VIVO. The arm uses standard VESA screws but it seems that this adapter doesn't. The screws for this adapter are just slightly too big for the arm holes. While inconvenient, I got around this by just slightly making the holes wider with my drill. DO NOT BUY IF YOU CANNOT DO THIS AND INTEND TO USE IT WITH AN ARM.

I also found that my monitor with physical buttons needed a bit of adjusting to make sure that none of the buttons were being pressed by the part of the arm where the monitor sits. I got lucky and there was a big enough gap between the buttons but make sure you check your monitor before buying this arm.

Otherwise, it's sturdy and holding up the monitor just fine. Just follow the weight specs of it and you should be fine.

So many design flaws with this adapter. 1st problem is that they provided a 10mm wrench with the kit, but the nuts are 3/8". 2nd problem I ran into is one of the nuts was so so tight that the 10mm wrench stripped the 3/8" nut. After realizing it was a 3/8" nut, I got a proper socket and was able to loosen the other nuts without too much issue, but the first nut was too damaged and still too tight to be able to get off. 3rd problem as you might have guessed, is that the nuts are made of cheap metal and the corners easily stripped off, rounding the nut so it won't fit any socket.

I didn't even get to the problems that other people have had where the screws are too thick for a vesa mount, or that you may be fidgeting for a long time trying to get it to work with a monitor.

From a price perspective, if you can get them to work and never have to deal with them again, they MIGHT be worth the under $20 price tag, but so far, all I have is more junk that I have to return.

I got this for my monitor almost a year ago. It's been working perfectly since. What attracted me to this product compared to the others are the arms come with black ends for a nice aesthetic look, and the arms are very versatile to fit monitors.

The only concern I had was the back of my monitor isn't flat and I was worried about pressure points damaging the monitor's casing. I just simply took some PE packing sheets I had lying around, folded them and wedged them between my monitor and adapter before tightening. I haven't needed to adjust the monitor in the adapter since. I highly recommend this product.
