PrimeCables Wall Mount Cabinet-6U

As telecommunications needs continue to grow and expand, the physical space in which they exist does not always grow at the same rate. Wall-Mount Systems overcome this hurdle by providing racks and cabinets that allow you to create locations for cables and equipment where space is limited or does not exist. Secure equipment on the wall inside or outside of the telecommunications room and connect remote groups of users to the network.

This 6U wall mount cabinet comes with a lockable front door, removable side panels, and two fans. The cabinets are fully vented with a lockable steel-framed glass door for safety and security. Quick-release hinges allow for easy access to the cabinet for loading equipment and cables. Removable side panels allow access from each side and gland plate covers ad cable strain relief positions are included in the top and bottom of the cabinets. The cabinets have a modern, pleasing appearance and offer outstanding value. The sturdy cabinets are quick and easy to install and provide an economical solution for cabling installations.

Ships flat packed. Assembly is easy, however the instructions could use a bit more detail. A piece of cardboard is included with markings to make it a wall mounting template.

Front door is lockable, the side panels are not lockable. Comes with 2x top ventilation fans than are both wired to a standard 120VAC plug. A small amount of rack nuts and bolts are included.

You have to provide your own hardware to bolt to a wall. IE 4x screws adequately sized and appropriate for the application.

For the price this is the best value for a 6RU light duty general purpose wall mount rack.

There is a video on the �鶹�� site (and later I found same one on Youtube), but the instructions, and video, do not show how to put the rack together (specifically, the side rails). Horrible instructions. As an example - there are no instructions as to how to install the included fans - okay, pretty straight forward, BUT the cable for the fans has a separate grounding wire with NO instructions as to how to use it or if I really need to use the ground cable (bolt it to the cabinet??). Once together, it works well, is sturdy and it looks good. Has a lock on glass door, okay - if you want that sort of thing, but it does not make it secure as the side panels open with the push of a button.

Looks very neat, professional and organized once assembled, however some of the screws were super tough to get into position, I could not lock the side detachable panels with screws because the screw holes are positioned in a very difficult position, instead, I used metal wires to tie it up. The self tapping screws could not be threaded by hand, I had to use my impact hammer drill to convince them in their position.
Overall, I'm glad I purchased this to safely store my networking equipment.

I work for a pretty big security company & we buy quite a lot of networking equipment for customer installations. Generally these boxes come already built but to my disappointment, this one did not. Figuring it should be an easy build, I didn’t think much of it but not only are the instructions the worst ever. There were several parts missing. Needless to say that the client was not happy & although the vendor was willing to send the missing parts, it would have been too late. I used spare parts from previous customer installs & tweaked things to make it work. The vendor offered an insulting $15 to compensate but I declined as the loss of time & reputation with the client was worth more than that. Clearly we will be taking our business elsewhere.
