When my computer imploded and refused to boot I was faced with a substantial fee to recover my files. The computer was somewhat elderly but had 2 x 2 terabyte drives. I was able to remove them and just plug the drives using the adapter cable. Everything worked perfectly and all the content was saved. I had backups but not completely up to date, does anyone? One unexpected bonus is that I can use this sata cable to connect an old cd/dvd drive to my new computer. CD / DVD drives are no longer included in new computers so it was nice to be able to access some older programs, music and dvds.

Realiza su funcion muy bien, la ventaja de este sobre otros es que puedes conectarlo en diferentes discos duros, en el caso de los case tendrias que desarmar el case para poder cambiar de disco.

Para quienes lo adquieran hay un punto a tomar en cuenta: lo IDONEO es si vas a conectar o reconectar un disco lo desconectes de la corriente y del puerto usb y volver a iniciar (corriente a adaptador + adaptador a disco duro + cable usb a la pc), de lo contrario es probable que la pc o laptop no reconozca el disco, siquiendo esos pasos no habra problema alguno. Tambien vale aclarar que lo mejor es conectarlo directamente a un puerto usb asi sea 2.0, si esta en un multiconector tampoco sea reconocido por la pc.

Si sabes extraer un disco duro de una computadora, o tienes socio o familiar con un minimo de conocimiento de las compus, debes tener algun cable adaptador o "caja toaster" para emergencias y actualizationes, etc. Conectas tu disco a un fin del cable, el otro a una puerta USB de cualquier laptop, computadora del escritorio, hasta tablet o con en unos casos su celular, y Ya! Conecciones son firmes, y construccion esta bien para el precio. Mi preferencia seria para otro poquito, 20 o 30 pesospara cambiar plastico a aluminio, pero el material actual pasa y con cuidado razonable debe durar. Tienes que comprar una cargador/eliminador con unos productos similares, pero este modelo viene con su fuente de poder 12V incluido. Estas listo a trabajar con el disco duro en mas o menos el tiempo que tu maquina usa en reconocer una memoria USB, y puedes ver que tiene de bueno el viejo disco que salio de el compu que usaste en la prepa, mover los archivos que no fueron borados por una malvado virus, o poner todo el contenido de uno disco lento o demasiado chico a un disco nuevo. No tienes que comprar una disco nuevo para respaldar tus datos importantes con esta cosa y una disco duro viejo en la muchila o en un cajon del escritorio. Ningun controlador a instalar o mini cd de instalacion para perder tampoco.
