Compatibility

Windows and Mac host systems that support Thunderbolt 4/USB4 are fully compatible with the TBT4-HUB3C hub.

External display capabilities via the TBT4-HUB3C are dependent on the host systems external display capabilities. Hosts that support only one external display will be limited to one external display via the TBT4-HUB3C.

  • Yes, the TBT4-HUB3C can provide up to 60W of power to charge the host computer. 60W is sufficient for many laptop models, however laptops with higher power requirements may require supplemental charging

  • Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, and USB Type-C devices. It can connect high-speed peripherals like USB-C and Thunderbolt SSDs, external displays, and other power-hungry accessories. Note, device performance depends on the host system’s capabilities.

  • When connected to a host computer with Thunderbolt 4, you can connect up to two displays to the TBT4-HUB3C. Note: M1/M2 Macs support one display; M3 supports two displays with laptop lid closed; M4, Pro, and Max support two displays with the lid open

  • We include one Plugable USB-C to HDMI video adapter in the box with the TBT4-HUB3C

  • No, the included external power adapter must be connected to the TBT4-HUB3C in order for the device to function.
