Fantastic product for a fussy home coffee drinker. While it still has the trappings of a drip brewer (warming plate & chance of thin coffee), it has some great programmable options for the home user. The info and propaganda pamphlets in the box are very informative and give a great introduction to specialty coffee. The filter options, the pour-over and cold brew capacity, the water temperature, and bloom times are al tremendous steps forward for the home user (even though some can be dizzying for the uninitiated). It's very easy for a "plug and play" style drinker and for the the house coffee-nerd. The know-it-all can set the brew style in the memory, and the rest of the house gets to enjoy both coffee and silence from you-know-who (it's me in my house). It comes prepped with filters, descaling packets, water hardness tester, basic info. PROS: Way too many to list, but its programability and brew quality are very, very good. Gold Cup + My Brew brew options and very user-friendly controls are so slick. CONS: It's a little tough to clean, the carafe is hard for a big hand to get into, the shower head needs a brush to clean the bloom off of it, and the lid on the water tank is a little slippy and clumsy people drop it lots (also me).
