Fully compatible with Linux mint. Very directional compared to my laptop so depending where I am have to adjust and the speeds weren’t significantly higher (I have a good wifi card so it’s not surprising).

With an upgrade available you get WPA3 security and fairly decent range although I might opt to swap out for dual 10dbi gain antennas.

For starters it's a pretty big adapter. Carrying this around is definitely going to raise a little bit of suspicion on a covert operation.

also the interface on the card while USB is using a significantly more breakable version of it(they changed the names for the interfaces so many times I honestly can't keep up anymore)..... So it's probably not going to last long without needing a port replacement (although at that point there will be other versions with support for newer protocols like ab and ax)

Tested it with the aircrack suite and it can be put into monitor mode, also tested injection and while I had a little bit of trouble with the driver, it does work (don't use realteks kernel module, use a module that has the feature enabled like the aircrack kernel module, or a kernel module created by the community). From there either install with dkms or using the instructions on the upstream page and you should have injection and monitor mode working.

The range is decent so you can do your work from the car if the signal reaches, and it supports the ac standard.... So that's relatively nice I guess.

I haven't tested it in kali though, I've been using Arch albeit for a very brief period.

If you're going to buy this for injection make sure that you do not buy another skew with a different chipset. I'm only verifying that injection works for this model with this chipset.
The 80 bucks is relatively pricey... But 5Ghz is also great if you need to be able to perform operations on those networks.

Purchased for mobile use during pen-testing engagements. Figuring out which was the 'best' WiFi adapter for that purpose was more difficult than anticipated, but eventually I settled in this one -- a decision I almost immediately regretted due to (at the time) poor or partial driver support in basically every distro with which I wanted to use it; for normal use it was fine, but getting monitor mode and packet injection working properly was a headache initially, and using the adapter in engagements required far more manual management than I had hoped. That said, most of those issues are in the past now, as driver support for this chipset has significantly improved over the past year, and in most cases it now works out of the box or with one or two easily-installed packages.
Build quality seems very solid -- the cable and antennae are thick and attach firmly, with (so far) no major signs of the ports wearing out or going loose. If anything, my main build quality complaints would be that the cable is *too* sturdy (and thus inflexible), which can make positioning the adapter where you want it rather tricky, particularly as the adapter itself is quite light (most of the weight is in the cable and antennae).
Sensitivity and broadcast strength, even with default antennae, are pretty unreal -- open line of sight, it can pick up standard residential APs a KM or more away.
Data throughput is FAST (with an AP and connection speed to match), and link stability so far seems excellent.
If you are planning to use this with a mobile device that doesn't provide much power (e.g. a phone running NetHunter), be aware that you will likely need an OTG Y cable so that you can attach an external battery pack or other power source -- in my experience, without the extra power source the adapter will power on and appear to be working (shows in lsusb output and so on) when in fact it is not.
Overall, highly recommended now that Linux driver support issues have been resolved.
