- Reviewed in Canada on July 17, 20251 Gallon Glass Fermentation Jars came all in one piece and has the two glass jars, 2 plastic lids with plastic airlocks and two fully intact plastic lids. It is exactly the same size jar I am currently using for kombucha but it is actually nice to have two different lids to it for 2nd fermentation or storing of scobies in the fridge (I think mine used to be an old bulk pickle jar and I threw away the lid). These are versatile since they do give you different lids so it can be used for dry storage too. The glass seems sturdy and thick enough although I do not know how I feel about the plastic lids yet. I am also hoping to try some cider this fall so we'll see how that goes but I am happy with these jars.
