  This lens is much better than the early ratings suggest. Just got mine and I'm very impressed with sharpness, auto focus and overall build quality. The focus motor does make more noise than usual. Other than that, with firmware version 03 it performs as well as any of my many other lenses including the Sigma 30mm f1.4 which is highly regarded. Don't be concerned with the early reviews of this lens. Every Sony FF user should have one of these and it also works great on my a6000. Great value and highly recommended.
