  I bought this to test out my video streaming app and as an Android Pixel 4 owner was hoping for a "pure" Android experience, but using this product feels more like using Windows Phone OS (HTC) back in the 2010s. There is a lot of crapware on the system, there is no sense of overriding coordinated interface. Some of the native Google Play apps don't work. If you are an experimentalist (which I am) it is neat to tinker with similar Android functions on your TV (as long as you connect a keyboard). But as a consumer product competing with Apple TV and even the crappy Samsung/LG smart TV apps, this box, and perhaps Android TV, still has a way to go.
  
  As a developer of video streaming apps on this platform, our app actually turned out nicely and is a pleasure to watch, but as an operating system user experience, it isn't great.
