  The case is definitely a good budget option. However, the advertising led me to believe the detachable controllers would easily be removed by detaching and pulling up, however this isn't possible. That was a disappointing realization as I really wanted to easily be able to detach the joy cons. Otherwise however, the switch 2 with the case on fits easily in the docking station with very little resistance. There is definitely a tighter fit at the bottom but nothing serious. I haven't tried playing docked yet so I will edit if I notice connection issues, but so far so good.
