Despite not making a big deal about it, my 7 year old son was now another year older, feeling pretty low on himself and losing more confidence. He just couldn't understand why he was stuck with this issue. With my heart breaking for him, I was desperate to try to find anything to help him. We started almost exactly 5 weeks ago, and he has now been dry for a consecutive 2 weeks straight.
Honestly I wasn't sure it would work for us, but there were a ton of positive reviews and I figured we would give it a try. I made sure for the first 4-5 days I was getting him up immediately after hearing the alarm go off so he could go to the bathroom. By then he knew what to do by himself. For him, the alarm only went off once in the night, and he would be able to make it after that until the morning. We were using pull-ups, so as per their suggestion, we cut a small hole in it and fed the sensor down so it would stay in the right spot. Day 3 I heard him go into the bathroom to go pee and I said, "I didn't hear the alarm go off." "It didn't. I just had to go pee." OMG!! We giggled and jumped for joy at 3am in the bathroom lol. It was still hit and miss after that and he got tired of wearing the alarm. We pushed through and are SO HAPPY to announce that he hasn't had a wet night in 2 weeks!! I have passed ours on to another boy I know of with the same issue. My son feels so proud of himself and his confidence is being restored. 5 stars isn't high enough in my book.
