  We purchased this item to travel from Ontario to the Bahamas and the wires quickly rotted due to water exposure. The cables is waterproofed but even upon trying to repair the cable the wires are not colour coded in a way to easily splice a new repair.
  
  As we are now unable to purchase a new cable our unit is less then useful.
