鶹 Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This was one of the more difficult reviews for me to write. The problem is that I always read reviews before ordering any product, and many of the reviews for this air conditioner were negative. Despite that, I really wanted to give this air conditioner a chance and approach it with an open mind.

I have a small bedroom in our home that, when we did renovations, the builder put no vents in the room at all. It gets very hot in the summer and has no windows. This makes the traditional air conditioner impossible to use since you cannot vent the hot air out. This new technology seemed exactly what I was looking for, despite some contradictions on the product page.

The air conditioner arrived very well packaged. It comes with the main unit, instructions, a small remote control, and a filter.

The only assembly required is putting the filter and holder on the side. You also need to add water to the water container on the side.

What makes this air conditioner unique is that it operates very much like a traditional air conditioner that uses a compressor to cool the air. The difference is that traditional air conditioners must always be vented outside, or the hot air being vented will keep the room warm. This air conditioner uses water to cool the hot air, so that the air expelled is cooled down significantly, and it has minimal effect on the room temperature. I was very curious as to whether this new technology actually worked.

The problem with the product page is it talks a lot about it being plug-and-play with no venting then says you should vent the hot air out with an adapter and hose which is not included. This makes it very confusing since I can not vent out the hot air.

So does this technology actually work when you do NOT vent the air outside? It seemed from other reviews that it did not in many cases but I needed to find out for myself and I am very pleased to say this technology does indeed work.

One thing that is very important is to make sure you put water in the bottom of the machine and do not kink the hose that draws the water into the machine. You should be able to hear the water going into the machine when is it running in cool mode.

I put this air conditioner in this room on a very hot day. I closed the door and turned on the air conditioning mode. I was pleasantly surprised at how cool the air was coming out of the machine. I used an infrared thermometer, and the temperature was 62.4 degrees Fahrenheit, much cooler than the 90-degree room. The hot air output on the machine registered 74 degrees Fahrenheit.

After less than 30 minutes the temperature of the room dropped 5 degrees making it much more pleasant to be in. After an hour it was down to 79 degrees from 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

For another test I put the air conditioner in a very small bathroom with no windows and I closed the door. The room dropped 3 degrees Fahrenheit in 30 minutes and continued to drop.

Indeed, this air conditioner was working as I was hoping it would, and I was very pleasantly surprised.

I left this to run for 12 hours, and the water level barely went down at all, so I did not have to refill it.

The air conditioner has several different modes you can select with the remote or with the buttons on the top. You can select dehumidify, air cleaner, cool, and fan modes.

There is a timer you can use and you can also set the target humidity and temperature. You can adjust the fan speed as well.

As for the level of noise from this air conditioner, it is definitely lower than any window air conditioner I have ever heard.

Personally, I will just be using this to cool this room when it is very hot.

There is a feature that moves the blades at the output of the air conditioner so that it oscillates left and right for better coverage.

As I mentioned at the beginning this was a very hard review since I was aware of so many negative reviews and I always spend a lot more time on reviews when I think they may be negative. Fortunately, that was not the case with this and yes, it works as they describe and even exceeded my expectations.

The biggest negative for me is the user manual is kind of hard to follow as there are a lot of icons and buttons that can be confusing. The seller talks about this being great since it needs no venting then talks about how it should be venting which can be confusing and contradicting.

The small remote included does work well and allows you to remotely adjust the functions, which is perfect when you are in bed and don't want to get up to change settings.

I am pleased with this air conditioner. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews but my experience was not negative at all.

I do recommend this for anyone who, like me, has an area they want to cool and venting is not an option.

As for my rating this, I debated on 4 or 5 stars but despite some confusing information and the user manual issues, the unit does work as they claim and it has exceeded what I expected. For that reason, I will give this 5 stars.

Works as expected. Cooled a room with no venting at all.
