  so listing says extends to 38 inch
  - actually it extends to 37 inch (even says so on box)
  listing says flashlight with included button cells; just remove protective plastic film
  - actually, button cells were starting to corrode and plastic film was already gone
  - we are still looking for replacement button cells (LR44) so can't say if light works
  - that's why I only give four stars!

  cane does fold, and extend, and handle is comfortable to hold, and does support my weight (about 230 lbs), and does stand if set upright on level ground
  - all of those are why I chose it, so yes, it passed my requirements, and I can recommend.

  still would rather it was a rechargeable battery light - a challenge for me to adapt and improve
