    I admit I did not want to succumb to needing a cane, even with injury to my hip, falling 5 times! ( osteoarthritis)My sister bought this walking stick & once I used it, I had to have one. Perfect when taking a small dog who has to be carried ( blind & old now) out at night, steps & into complete darkness.
    It's assembled, can be adjusted, easily folded. The feature I appreciate is the led light to click on while gripping a rubbery, comfortable handle. It allows for added assurance if prone to offbalance moments, actually makes walking faster, much easier. It is imo, perfect for walking on trails, esp poking ahead to keep one upright vs slipping, sliding, toppling. Very lightweight, easily folds into a backpack, shopping or shoulder bag. I love it & use it indoors given the obstacle challenge of midst -of- moving- mayhem, cords, boxes, brooms, vacuum cleaners, I inevitably trip over, go boom. Whatever - it doesn't make me feel elderly & feeble, and that was my resistance & stupidity - now that I see " walking sticks" are popular among the fit! 😄

    Note: One of the features I really like is the circular base at the bottom on the stick, with four rubber feet. It acts to shock-absorb the surface, a spongy feel and more sturdy than a regular cane/stick. Even stands upright on its own.
