  I bought this pump as a backup for my other Deka pump that has been awesome. The bigger new one just got put into emergency action last night and completely failed! It ran pumped water for about 15 seconds twice. It wasn't an airlock either, I know how to use pumps. Checkvalve was clear and even without a hose on it would spin away happily not doing a damn thing. Opened it up and all looked normal. Impellors intact, housing gasket brand new. This piece of garbage is crap.
