- Reviewed in Canada on October 27, 2024Fun toy for kids! My nephew absolutely loved this remote control excavator. It came with 2x 3.7v rechargeable batteries for the excavator and 2x AA non rechargeable batteries for the remote control. It came with 2x 3.7v battery chargers as well. The excavator can run for around 30 minutes per battery. The controls enable you to move forward or reverse, turn left or right, and perform the action of excavating. The excavating has less control aside from reverse or forward of the excavating action. My nephew is able to scoop up sand in a pile, load it into his dump truck, and dump his load of sand in a new pile. Combined with his dump truck this keeps him busy for hours on end. It鈥檚 quite the construction site we have going on over here. I made him little construction signs, and got him miniature pylons and that鈥檚 been a lot of fun but back to the excavator. It has an led light, and a horn which he uses frequently. I鈥檓 not a fan of having to unscrew the panel to install or replace the batteries but it does keep it secure. The excavator is made fairly well with rubber tracks, and has handled multiple falls, crashes, and terrain. It easily scoops sand and dirt, more so when in a pile, even moved a rock almost as big as it. I鈥檓 impressed, my nephew is happy, and I would easily recommend this remote controlled excavator for young children.
