  This device allows me to switch a ceiling light without the hassle of installing a dedicated hard wire to the existing box. This version is a simpler on/off-only device. The first purchase was for the dimmer version and it didn’t function at all (returned) It was a total pain trying to link to the switch.
  
  UPDATE:
  Now I cannot recommend this product- after remarkably very little use it has failed. The rocker-type switch clicks in the "on" direction but not "off".
