You will need to heavily weigh the bottom if you are in a windy area like I am or even stake it through the bottom of the planter. I wish the planter was larger to hold more soil and weight for the light to stay upright.

I was looking for a solar lamp, and this one stood out because of its tall 75" height and the added planter base. It arrived with a user manual and was easy to put together. It took me about 25–30 minutes to assemble.

The lamp post comes in sections, so the height is adjustable. At full height, it was a bit wobbly because of the light base weight, but after removing one section, it became more stable. Once I added soil and flowers to the planter, it stayed firmly in place and looked great.

The light is brighter than I expected and lasts over 8 hours after a full charge. It automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn. Keep the switch turned on, or the solar panel won’t charge. With a good 4-6 hours of sun, it works perfectly. It’s also waterproof, and mine stayed bright even during heavy rain.

Pros:
-Adjustable height to customize the look
-Bright light for a solar bulb and long battery life
-Smart auto sensor turns on/off at dusk/dawn
-Manual On/Off switch for storage or transport
-Waterproof - survived heavy rain perfectly

Cons:
-Plastic planter feels a bit lightweight - could be more durable
-Planter must be filled with heavy soil - empty, it's wobbly (I removed one pole section for better balance)

Good For:
-Pathway lighting
-Garden accents
-Anyone wanting solar lights that actually last all night

Overall, I’m very happy with this solar lamp and planter combo. It looks great, lights up the backyard well, and is worth the price. Just make sure to fill the base with enough heavy soil for stability.
