17AWG 3-Wire Pure Copper Core

17AWG wire has a larger cross-sectional area than the commonly used 18AWG wire, so it can carry high currents and provide more stable data transmission.

Please use the Pi 5 dedicated power supply

Note: If a 5V/3A Pi 4 power supply is used to power the Pi 5, the system will recognize the Low Voltage Current Limit warning and will not be able to take full advantage of the Raspberry Pi 5's performance.

iRasptek 27W USB-C Power Supply with PD for Raspberry Pi
I took this charger as a spare for my 2 pi¡¯s that I already have and have a plan to get one more in near future. I¡¯m a big fan of RPI¡¯s and have different use scenarios for both 24/7 ¡°production¡± services and tinkering/testing. Therefore, I thought I better be ready with accessories for future scaling up. Even though it¡¯s easy to get a similar charger with enough amps to drive RPI, I still prefer to use the designed for RPI and this is where this charger comes to mind. This charger is an iRapstek product which gives me confidence and peace of mind. As you would expect, the charger is very well built and there is nothing really to find concerning. One thing that stands out with this charger is that you can be ensured that the power connector won¡¯t obstruct nearby space for micro-HDMI connectors while some alternative chargers very likely will. Charger can feed 27 W with overall output capabilities as follows: 15V/1.85A, 12V/2.25A, 9V/3A and 5.1V/5A Conclusion: Rock solid RPI charger that you can rely on. Final verdict: 5 stars

Raspberry Pi 5 needs more than most chargers, 5V 5A to make sure all peripheries are powered. Pretty much have to get a dedicated charger and iRasptek's charger is the best value and works with the stated specs.

Product ( iRasptek 27W USB C PS) looks very well built, both the switching Power Supply and the integrated usb C cable.

The Pi shows that the adapter is reporting a full 5000ma available.
I'm currently using it to power Pi 5 + USB SSD + USB Topping DAC - all power up perfectly and has been running for a few days now with no hiccups.

Will update if anything changes but it looks really good - especially at this price!

Good power supply, worked well for a Raspberry Pi 4 B with an SSD Expansion board and additional case with fan. 3.5A power adapters weren't sufficient enough to power it, but this allowed it to boot via USB. Cable length was sufficient for my application. Transformer is sort of large and will block adjacent outlets on a power strip, you may need a short extension cord to give you the space back if you have a crowded power strip.

I'm running a Pi 5 cluster and have discovered (short of DIY power supplies) it's quite difficult finding an elegant solution to powering 4 or more Pi's at once. So, while I ponder my end-game solution, I still needed to power my Pi's, but I didn't want to pay $20+ dollars per device. Thankfully I found these guys. Great quality, solid feeling craftsmanship, and outputting the proper 5.1v/5a power that a Pi 5 needs; all that plus no abuse of my wallet. If you need a solid power supply for your Pi, at a decent price, these guys fit the bill well. Bonus: if you register your warranty with them quick enough, you can get an extension to your warranty for up to 2 years. Score! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Works for Orange Pi 5 Ultra (5V-5A required)
Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2025

I initially thought my power adapter wasn't supplying enough power to my Orange Pi 5 Ultra (which requires 5V/5A) when the screen froze after attaching the M.2 SSD. I suspected it couldn't handle the USB mouse and keyboard. However, after attaching a heatsink to the M.2 SSD, the screen freeze issue was resolved.

I realized that using heatsinks on the CPU, SSD, and other chips on your Orange Pi 5 Ultra can significantly improve its performance and stability. Now, it works great!
