    As many of you, our devices are not limited to Aqara. I use Homekit as the main automation programming, and I'm able to only configure 6 trigger events (X side up) but nothing more. No rotate, no shake, no push, no lift and hold, out of the box, unless you use these within the Aqara App and connected to other Aqara devices... Be ready to do some additional configurations if you plan on using it outside of Aqara... I would recommend Home Assistant at this point. As of now, I don't know of any other way

    The accessories are less expensive than other brands but they become useless when the hub goes offline which has been my experience as of late. Tech support is by email only and has not only been frustrating but has become a total run around with no resolution. Repeated questions and responses, delayed responses as in as much as 4 days before you get a response and in the end you are the proud owner of a "child device" as they refer to it that does not work because the hub is offline. Warranty for a defective product doesn't seem to be mentioned in their marketing of the products, I now understand why. If support and service are important to you I can't recommend this product.

    Fully in the Aqara ecosystem, I purchased this on a whim to play with. The battery door is very easy to insert incorrectly and bend internal components. Second, the battery died within a month. Third...what is this for? You need to remember an extra piece of information (what does the dice-style "5" represent, for example?) I tried to tie them to scenes relating to the hour of the day, but that didn't work well. It's neat, your mileage may be better.

    Even when this does work, not very often, it's slow as hell. It's certainly not precise enough to use for anything decent.

    The aqara app is just as bad. It's supposed to have two different modes, but trying to get the cube to swap modes is a complete nightmare. Neither of the modes work well enough to be worth thr hassle.

    Do yourself a favour and use NFC tags instead. It's cheapet, they work perfectly, and you don't need to worry about the batteries running out :)

    Der Hexaeder ist ein echter Game-Changer in meiner Smart-Home-Welt! Ich bin echt begeistert von den Möglichkeiten und der stabilen Verarbeitung des Geräts. Die Installation ist simpel, und man kann den Würfel super auf seine Bedürfnisse anpassen. Caesar hätte sich sicher auch gern so ein dreidimensionales Polyeder geschnappt, wenn er sein Zuhause smarter machen wollte.

    Personalisierung & Funktionen:
    Der Clou: Jeder der 6 Seiten lässt sich mit einer Aktion belegen, also perfekt für kreative Smart-Home-Lösungen. Ich hab zum Beispiel eine "Sleep Mode"-Funktion eingebaut – Schüttel ich den Würfel dann wird nach einer Stunde alles im Smart Home abgeschaltet. Licht. Musik. Und damit das nicht versehentlich ausgelöst wird, nutze ich ein cleveres System mit einem Input Boolean, um den Würfel aktiv zu erkennen, bevor irgendeine Aktion gestartet wird. - Der Kreativitität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Die freie Programmierbarkeit ist das, was den Würfel so unfassbar stark macht. In der App sieht man mit den Seiten, was ich wo programmiere - sehr convenient.

    Das Ding ist echt flexibel – von Musiksteuerung über Dashboard-Anzeigen bis zur Überwachungskamera! Meine Lieblings-Features: Auf Seite 1 startet ein Doppeltipp meine Musik-App, die andere startet dann unsere die Lieblingsplaylist. Mit anderen kann ich Feuchtigkeitswerte alle Kameras auf dem TV im Blick bekommen. Das Ganze geht einfach super schnell und smooth.

    Steuerung & Komfort
    Der Würfel ist außerdem gut durchdacht: Kein Wackeln, kein Ruckeln – top Qualität. Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Keine Grate. Hohe Qualität aber nicht so massiv. Einfach, intuitiv und einfach mega komfortabel.

    Fazit Der Würfel hat echt riesiges Potenzial, und das Beste: Er ist voll individualisierbar! Der Hexaeder“wird dem Smart Home ordentlich auf die Sprünge helfen. Und obwohl die HomeKit-Integration noch ein paar Verbesserungen gebrauchen könnte, bin ich insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Ein Muss für alle, die mehr aus ihrem Smart Home herausholen wollen.
