Hub M2 only support aqara zigbee child device but not aqara thread devices or zigbee devices from other brands.
  • [Proximity] For a sturdy connection, ensure that the Aqara Hub M2 is within 400 inches of the Wi-Fi router, and the child device is within the same range from the Hub M2, both without any obstacles. For optimal network reception, proximity to the device is advised. Additionally, make sure the hub and the router are on the same local area network (LAN).
  • [360° Infrared Control, Ethernet & USB Power] Control IR devices like TVs and fans from anywhere in the room using voice or automations (indoor use only). Supports Ethernet RJ45 for stable, low-latency connection and USB power for flexible setup (power bank with pass-through charging is advised).   • [Home Automation & Alarm System] Works with all Aqara devices to create a comprehensive, smart home automation system. Its built-in speaker supports security alerts, doorbell, alarm clock, and configurable ringtones.(Aqara child devices are required and the maximum decibel level is 80 db when 39.37 inches away from the Aqara Hub M2, and the decibel level will decrease as the distance increases). **The hub M2 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
  • [All-Round Compatibility] The Aqara Hub M2 makes your Aqara devices compatible with a wide range of smart home ecosystems and voice assistants. Apple HomeKit, Google Assistants (M2 as a hub and using infrared function in Google Home), Alexa, IFTTT,Home Assistant and more are supported.(Note:To expose the M2 to Home Assistant as a bridge, you can use HomeKit Device or Matter integrations.)
