This stand works very well for standard size or slightly larger textbooks. It's sturdy and easy to use. I did buy it hoping it would be able to handle my absolutely monstrous A&P textbook, and while it does hold the weight, the textbook is too thick and the little arms that hold down the pages looked like they might snap right off. It will work great for the other textbooks I have, though. So still 4 stars!
