I use this outdoor double plug with Alexa for the patio lights (christmas and decorative), which both have no switches. Very convenient, instead of plugging and unplugging them every time. I use for a couple months now, no problem at all. I leave them all year long, it creates a great atmosphere even for the summer nights. They light up automatically and independently on different schedules with Alexa's routines (the two plugs are independent), also different on weekend and week nights, but you could also light them up together (you actually have every option). Looks durable and trustable. A little expensive but I guess it's the price to pay for something you can use securely outdoor (I use Govee smartplugs indoor, also a good product). Will update this review if ever it doesn't last as long as it should. I don't use Meross app at all, you don't even need it to set up the plug if I remember well (only Alexa is enough). Set up was easy. I recommend.

When I first came across this brand, I was a bit hesitant based on a lot of reviews stating that the device constantly loses connection. I've actually had the exact same experience till I dug a bit deeper and found a few things within my router's settings that make these devices a lot more stable. Now, these changes might not work for everyone's router, but I'm currently running an ASUS XT8 mesh router, IN MESH MODE, and have had zero issues connecting these devices to the 2.4ghz network nor do I have connection issues anymore.

Meross technical support told me to remove my mesh setup and separate the bands which initially did help but I was still losing connecting from time to time randomly. What I ended up finding out is that if you make these devices have a Static IP as well as BIND them to a certain node (if you're running a mesh system), they work perfectly fine in Mesh mode. So now, I have 1 SSID, my routers are in the mesh setup I initially purchased them for, and I haven't lost connection to any of the 3 devices from this company in quite some time.

The other reason I purchased these is that it works amazingly with all my automations through SmartThings. Such an easy fit into my smart ecosystem and all my routines have no issues running with these devices. Super impressed once the connection issues were gone.

Finally, this Outdoor plug has no issues with the Canadian winters that I've so far tested it in. I use it for our blowup Christmas decorations and although it's not physically in the open, it still gets snowed on and such.

A little expensive but they work well. I bought 3 for outdoor Christmas lights use in the cold Canadian winters. They didn't have any problems. They did pick up wifi from the house okay even at almost -40 C, but they were only plugged into the exterior of the house. I didn't test to see how far away they could be. They are well made and a little more compact than some I saw online. I like the fact that there are 2 separate silicon plus on each so if you are only using one of the 2 outlets, the other can be sealed. Some have only 1 plug for both forcing you to leave the outlet exposed to moisture if you only use one of the 2. I integrated it with Alexa on my iphone and it was easy enough to program.
