Universal Speaker Stands

Stable universal speaker stands (1 pair) are designed for a variety of satellite speakers and bookshelf speakers on the market. Each stand weights up to 22 lbs.

Soft non-slip pad on each top shelf prevents the speaker from tipping over and scratching, and provides a better listening experience by minimizing unwanted vibration from the stand.

I bought these stands for a pair of Kanto YU6 bookshelf speakers. They arrived quickly, and nicely packaged. It took roughly 15 minutes to assemble them from start to finish. An Allen Key is provided, but you will also need a Phillips screwdriver to complete the assembly. Also, I didn't run into any of the fitment issues some users have reported. Once assembled, these are a good, well made, and reasonably sturdy product.

I was looking for stands that were 18" in height. At their lowest range, with the hard surface feet installed, these stands are just shy of that. Roughly 17 and a half inches, which is perfect for my application. The fact that they're adjustable up to 23 inches is a nice feature as well. Some users have reported having issues with the adjustment screws not holding the upper platforms in place effectively. I tested this, and had no such issues. I could put quite a bit of downforce on the upper platforms without the adjustment moving at all, and that was after merely finger tightening the adjustment screws. Unless your speakers weigh 400lbs, you shouldn't run into problems...lol.

The cable management system is a nice touch, with one minor drawback. The openings where the cables are fed through the supports are somewhat on the small side. You'll get speaker, RCA, Optical, or smaller cables through there with no problem, unless of course, you have absolutely monster RCA plugs. You will not however, be able to route even two pronged electrical plugs through these openings. Trust me...I tried. Not a deal breaker by any means, and easily compensated for with a zip tie or two.

All in all, just a fantastic product, particularly in this price range. I'm very, very pleased, and can't recommend it highly enough.

These are attractive and well-made, but.....they do not support my 19 lb. speakers. The listing says they will work with speakers up to 22 lbs.. They are made adjustable by having one tube slide up and down inside a slightly wider tube. There is a thumbscrew which is tightened to fix the inside tube at the desired height. However, it will not tighten adequately to support my speakers at the desired height.

I addressed the problem by setting the stand at the height I desired and drilling a 1/4 inch hole horizontally through both tubes and inserting a bolt through from one side to the other. It is not very noticeable and, ...Voila, they meet my need.

I am a music fan and I seldom comment. This is a great pair of stands.

I will compare this one with similarly priced Monoprice $68 stand, which is also in the video that I uploaded.

Pros:
- Height adjustable for the perfect height where speaker tweeter is of the same height as your ears.
- Matt black coating is bounded strong to the metal. I scratched the black paint with a screen accidentally. The black paint stayed without showing silver metal color beneath.
- The plate to hold speaker is of perfect size. The edge of the plate is round, and not sharp.
- Construction is nice. I can feel the solid metal when assemble.

Cons:
- I put Monitor Audio Bronze 100 on top. It is perfect. But I can imagine for very heavy speakers (2x weight of Bronze 100) the stand isn’t for them. Its bottom plate could be heavier and larger.
- It take effort to route the speaker wires through the inside of the stand.

TIP: turn stand upside down. open flashlight of your phone, and light the whole next to the plate holding speaker.

Monoprice $68 black stand:
- Fixed height
- Plate holding speaker is sqare, edge is sharp. So monoprice stand is not for small speakers where the sharp edges will be exposed. This is Perfect for center speaker.
- Heavier and more solid.

I have a very low sitting room, so most stands (especially non-adjustable ones) didn't fit with my listening position.

Pros:
I don't think these are very pretty stands, but in this case, it's definitely function over fashion. The height adjustment is key here. There are very few other options that offer this range of heights. The heights marketed are exactly what it provides. I don't understand the reviews that give it bad scores saying it's too short.

Cable management is acceptable. It's on the narrow side, so if you have thick cables, you'll likely have trouble fitting them through the stand. It's a tight fit inside the posts as well as the exit at the bottom (unless you're using the spiked feet). I'm using the Micca 14 Gauge copper wires with slim banana plugs. Chunkier plugs will definitely not fit.

Cons:
The list of cons seems long, but really most are just very minor rants that I feel need to be put out there.

The threads for the feet (or spikes) are not usable for their entire length. Maybe it's plugged up with a weld or powder coat. It can probably be cleaned out, but I'm lazy. So, you have to balance the stands to the foot with the least travel (if that makes sense).

Stands don't hold much weight. The tightening bolt on the side only gets so tight since it's just using friction. When trying out the spiked feet, I'm used to moving the speakers around and slightly putting some weight on the speaker/stand to plant the spikes into the carpet. Immediately regretted that as the stand gave out and dropped to its lowest setting almost making me and the speakers take a tumble.

I didn't use the foam pad that is supposed to stick to the top. Felt very cheap and was extremely slippery. No way I'd trust it to hold my speaker in place.

There is a plastic insert that goes on the back of the stand where the speaker cables feed through. Likely to make it so your speaker cables aren't rubbing against hard metal and to make it look nicer. Well, they don't fit. I tried inserting them on both sides and it eventually just pops out, so I just threw them away.

Looks are subjective. They're fine, but not attractive. The adjustment knob is ugly. The stand is oddly wide from the front and skinny from the side. I also dislike that they printed their brand name on the front of one stand in white. There's also a bolt as well as a small hole on the lower portion of the stand. No idea why, definitely doesn't help with the appearance.

There are very few other options that offer this range of heights. The heights marketed are exactly what it provides. I don't understand the reviews that give it bad scores saying it's too short.

Cable management is acceptable. It's on the narrow side, so if you have thick cables, you'll likely have trouble fitting them through the stand. It's a tight fit inside the posts as well as the exit at the bottom (unless you're using the spiked feet). I'm using the Micca 14 Gauge copper wires with slim banana plugs. Chunkier plugs will definitely not fit.

Cons:
The list of cons seems long, but really most are just very minor rants that I feel need to be put out there.

The threads for the feet (or spikes) are not usable for their entire length. Maybe it's plugged up with a weld or powder coat. It can probably be cleaned out, but I'm lazy. So, you have to balance the stands to the foot with the least travel (if that makes sense).

Stands don't hold much weight. The tightening bolt on the side only gets so tight since it's just using friction. When trying out the spiked feet, I'm used to moving the speakers around and slightly putting some weight on the speaker/stand to plant the spikes into the carpet. Immediately regretted that as the stand gave out and dropped to its lowest setting almost making me and the speakers take a tumble.

I didn't use the foam pad that is supposed to stick to the top. Felt very cheap and was extremely slippery. No way I'd trust it to hold my speaker in place.

There is a plastic insert that goes on the back of the stand where the speaker cables feed through. Likely to make it so your speaker cables aren't rubbing against hard metal and to make it look nicer. Well, they don't fit. I tried inserting them on both sides and it eventually just pops out, so I just threw them away.

Looks are subjective. They're fine, but not attractive. The adjustment knob is ugly. The stand is oddly wide from the front and skinny from the side. I also dislike that they printed their brand name on the front of one stand in white. There's also a bolt as well as a small hole on the lower portion of the stand. No idea why, definitely doesn't help with the appearance.
