This thing is super nice to use. Everything works as it should, It is all metal construction so it very rigid and does not flex at all. The pencil it came with is nice. It's a mechanical pencil so it can be refilled and last a long time. There are detents to help quickly set common angles. Once it's in the detents and you tighten the knob, it is very secure.

Purchased this for doing layout marking in my wood working on smaller projects, I am sure glad that I did. It's very well made of high grade aluminum with high contrast etched white markings on a very nice red metallic finish (appears to be either electro plating or powder coated). It is extremely accurate on all angles and has 4 ball bearings that lock into detents for common angles and is very easy to adjust. I was not expecting it to be as accurate as it is, but I tested it using my miter gauge and a very accurate rafter square, to my surprise it is absolutely spot on accurate. The quality is certainly way better than the price paid and I have no qualms in ordering another one should I need it, but by the quality of the build that won't be for a very long time.

I'm thrilled to use my carpenter's square rule!.This tool is likely to be a game-changer for my DIY projects and woodworking tasks.
The construction is sturdy and has precise markings, better yet, it has multiple detents to hold the T-bar in place when you change the angle, all this makes it easy to get accurate measurements and square cuts every time
The compact size also makes it easy to toss into my toolbox; this square rule can become a sidekick.
It comes with a carpenter pencil with a led in it. The pencil fits in a sliding attachment allowing you to make accurate marks or draw lines on your material.
Some minor cons: instructions could be much better and a single printed sheet. The pencil sliding sled dies not slide well, they should have used some nylon washers or similar low friction material... A little squirt of silicone grease helps. Maybe lithium.
Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their toolkit!

The T-Square auto-aligns when you assemble it. There's no need to worry about finding 90º, the 2 parts have corresponding detents & pins that fall into place, and the star knob allows you to tighten it all down.
The size is ideal. I needed something to transfer lines onto medium sized pieces. A 6" combo square is too small and the 30" T-Square is far too large for a keepsake box, charcuterie board, wall plaque or whatever I'm working on at the time.
The pencil holder is super handy when you need it, but it also stays out of the way if you're just drafting some measurements. I find it handy to push down on when marking lines on the side of the T-Square. The pencil comes with a built in sharpener which always comes in clutch.
Lastly the T-Square comes in a beautiful anodized red colour that matches the rest of my red tools. 💯
