The Lead Is Twisted Through A Spring-Loaded Clutch, It Works By Twisting Incrementally Every Time You Lift The Pencil Up (I.E. During Printing Words, Etc.). This Allows A Uniform Wearing Of The Pencil Lead So That It Always Remains As A Pointed Tip. So You Can Easily Avoid The Usual Problem Of Using Pencils
At First The Pencil Has A Sharp Point, But After That When You Continue To Write The Point Is Worn Down, And Your Line Widths Are Smudgy And Thicker. Sometimes The Tip Of The Angled Point Can Scratch Or Catch On The Paper. The Lead Is Easy To Break Due To Some Positions Of The Tip And The Angles Of The Tip

The pencil is made of metal body. Grip and the pen body itself are definitely made of aluminum or some other metallic material. Except the rear cap. So, overall, this pen looks similar to one of those professional drafting pencils such as Graphgear 1000, or rOtring 800, etc. However that Kuru Toga mechanism causes a bit of weirdness when writing with it.

As you know, Kuru Toga mechanism is supposed to 'rotate' the lead when you apply pressure to any writing surfaces. The mechanism actually absorbs a bit of pressure to fuel the rotation mechanism. So, lead is destined to be moving vertically which gives impression of instability and cheaply made mechanism when writing. But note that most of unstable economic pencils feel weird due to plastic clutch which is known for lead slippage and their cheaply made caps fails to prevent microscopic sideway displacement of leads. But in this pencil's case, there is almost no sideway movement(comparable to most of expensive drafting pencils) but only the vertical one.

So, in terms of writing experience, the pencil is good enough. Even the lead rotation helps to keep your lines constant without even needing to rotate pencil to maintain sharp lines. At first, I felt the lead gets ground a bit faster than the rotation but the mechanism eventually caught up to most comfortable degree. I believe that this brief mismatched feeling encouraged the manufacturer to develop 2x faster rotation which is implemented in those newer models: Pipe slide, Advance, etc.

One gripe for me is the lead cap and eraser. Lead cap seems to be made of plastic and it feels overwhelmingly light and such thin plastics are known to be breaking easily. So, do some extra care. Also, as other Uni mechanical pencils, the eraser is pretty unstable when erasing stuffs.
