88Herbs Pure Magnesium Bisglycinate is a fantastic magnesium supplement. Many types of supplemental magnesium on the market use cheaper forms of magnesium which have low absorption rates, are hard on the digestive system, and cause diarrhea.

Surprisingly, even most types of magnesium bisglycinate on the market use a “buffered” form, which means that the form of bisglycinate they use isn’t pure, and is instead “buffered” or “mixed” with less bioavailable forms such as magnesium oxide.

We use 100% pure, non-buffered, magnesium bisglycinate, which is well known for being the most absorbable form of magnesium while also being the easiest on the stomach. We use easy-to-swallow capsules with no magnesium stearate.

I have taken 1 at night and felt like it didn't make much of a difference, not really drowsy or able to fall asleep fast or sleep as well. Two still works good though, just sucks for the budget.     I noticed the benefits of this supplement over another Mg supplement within 24 hours. This review is after finishing one bottle. The typical bad side effect of the other brand immediately disappeared and never returned. This happened despite taking one capsule every 4 hours. I take one before going to sleep and the leg cramps happened only one or two nights, which was far less frequently than with the other Mg. I consider the problem solved.

    Due Diligence

    Why is this Mg different? I checked out the company making it by finding the names of its leaders and reading articles about them. It's run by three relatively young men at a small company. They have a strong commitment to quality and not taking the shortcuts which big suppliers or manufacturers take. Their goal is to make the best, not the cheapest. They have important quality control practices that it seems others don't. They don't sell a ton of different products; they have focused on quality instead of quantity. You can find the details on their website.

    Based on the company background check and my personal experience, this product is my choice now and for the foreseeable future. I wish I had found it much sooner, but I didn't know something this good existed.

    Why Do You Need Extra Magnesium?

    I suggest you try and find out. Despite how good this supplement is, taking it can mask a health problem or issue that should be addressed. Mine isn't an easy fix but yours might be. Why do people get leg cramps, for example, at night? Why is the Mg dropping so much then? Look up all the things that can lower Mg and you might find your answer. Heat stress and other stress can do it. (Bedroom temp may be too high.) Sugar can also deplete Mg. (Maybe have less sugar before going to sleep.) Are you taking drugs that deplete your Mg without you knowing it or your doctor telling you? Research "depletes magnesium" online or get The Magnesium Factor by Mildred Seelig and Andrea Rosanoff.

    I bought these tablets after suffering multiple calf strains, I was a regular runner but a knee injury caused me to have a 6 month break, I needed to start again for health and wellbeing as I could feel a low level depression coming on as a result of lack of exercise Once I tried to start running again I found that I was unable to get more that 2 run's in before I would pull a calf muscle. I tried rest, giving it 4 weeks before trying to run again after a calf strain but found the calf went straight away. I did some online investigations and found people were advising that a magnesium supplement might help with Calf issues, so I investigated the different types of magnesium supplements and decided to try this one.

    I started taking 2 per day for a month, one with breakfast & one with lunch, after 4 weeks I tried running again and the results were amazing my calf's feel great the tightness that I had before I started taking the supplement has gone and I have now completed 7 runs with no calf strain, so if you have tight calf's or pulled muscles in that area then I would say give these ago as they worked for me.

    Just ordered 10 bottles after having to go directly to 88Herbs in Ontario Canada to purchase during its stock unavailability on 鶹. Apparently they were having custom issues but they have been resolved. Expire date is 6/2025 so will probably order another 10 bottles soon. Take 3 or 4 one hour before going to bed and you will be yawning until your eyes are watering; I am not kidding. Total relaxation and a full nights sleep. It is TRUE elemental magnesium. They are very honest about it whereas the American magnesium companies never give you the true amount of elemental magnesium you are getting. They are mostly the glycine and skimp on the elemental portion if they are giving you any at all. I tried almost every brand over the years in powders and capsules to no avail. Also, no more beating heart/palpitations.
