I am a truck driver. I bought this camera to use at the rear of the trailer, to assist me with judging how far to back up to other trailers, walls, etc. Also in case I have to back up unexpectedly, to see if there are any people or cars behind me.

1st off, I’m not overly impressed with the magnet strength. I made a tether cable for it, and thankfully I did, because it did fall off once on me.

It says that it has 100’ range with no obstacles, and says recommended length of vehicle is 35’. I have not tried the 100’ claim & I would say that the 35’ trailer length is about right. When I have it mounted towards the rear of my 53’ trailer, it comes in & out while driving, but seems to work pretty good once I stop for a few seconds. I knew it was a stretch when I bought it whether it would work for me, if I knew exactly how it would work, I’m not sure I would have bought it. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants use it within the 35’ range, it should work great.

Lastly, I don’t like the plug to cover the charging port. After about 4-5 uses, now it does not plug in without a struggle. I can get the “usb” part to plug in, but the round hole for the direct wiring doesn’t seem to like going in. I can usually get it in most of the way after messing with it for a minute or two, but I wonder how water proof it’ll be if I use it in rain.

Bought this camera to keep an eye on our horses inside our horse trailer.

First use: plugged it in overnight to a 35watt charger. No charge indicators, but manual says at least 6 hour charge before first use.
Camera was on the next day and transmitting for 7+ hours, flawlessly.

Signal was perfect- my phone (receiver) was in the cab of the truck. The camera was mounted inside the trailer, on the rear door facing forward. now this is a 3-horse slant load metal and insulated trailer with a dressing room at the front. I was worried that the wifi wouldn’t be strong enough from the inside rear of the trailer- but there were zero issues during the 7+ hours.

Strong magnetic mount kept that little camera perfectly still on the back door. I could see our ‘cargo’ the entire trip!

I’m so glad we got this camera.

The app from the App Store is just a generic app for these types of cameras. No bells or whistles.

I’m giving this item 3 stars because I’m sure it is ok with iPhones and Samsung android however it does not work with any other type of smart phone. Not everyone owns these phones but also not everyone has a phone. The video on how to use and set up advertises a monitor and shows photos of a monitor so we thought a monitor obviously comes with it in which to find out it did not once the package was received. I thought they forgot to package it. You can only use this on a phone. Returned it and bought a higher rated one that included a monitor. Way better and easier to use and won’t just kill your phone battery.

Used this as a horse trailer camera to check on the horses while in transport amazing video quality both during day and at night. I like that you can flip video, take screen shots,and turn off the colored parking lines. WiFi camera to phone connection was very easy and fast and the RVCamera app is super simple The magnets are incredibly strong, like incredibly strong!. Super happy with this camera and would definitely buy again battery life also great. It arrived at 7am and I charged it for a couple hours and it worked flawlessly on that charge for the 4 hours trailer ride that morning.

2 months now since I have this camera. I use it to hitch my 4X4 onto my caravan. My 4X4 number plate and reverse light is off center to the left and installing a hard wired camera is impossible. This camera unit comes in real handy as I can position close enough to the tow vehicle centerline to see the hitch. Be aware, you need to turn on Location on your phone for it to work, and refresh your phone Wi-Fi IPRO network when reconnecting. Excellent unit, clear image and strong magnetic hold. Highly recommended.

This was a perfect add on to help in the hookup to your trailer when loading it up alone. Got it setup to view the 2" ball with a side view . It is magnetic so it is on the back bumper and the back tail gate camera of my Silverado does the top view. This setup i dont need to bother my wife anymore to help load up my trailer or anything else. Good camera view and would recommend this .

Excellent product. I use it for hitching the caravan. Lined it up first time and no shouting with the wife. Then when at the caravan park I put it at rear of the van to help reverse. I don’t leave it on when traveling.
Having the viewing on your phone with the app makes it handy when adjusting the angle of the camera when attached to the vehicle. Else you would be back and forth to the car vs camera. Being portable and rechargeable is very handy. The app set up was incredibly easy. Basically download and go. I was waiting for the usual connection and pairing issues. I use iPhone 10. Quality is very good but color accuracy varies - not an issue though. I have a 24.5ft van so distance from camera at back of van to me/my phone in the car is about 12-13m. No change in quality.
