Should come with the machine by default
Identical to regular jug that came with my Breville Pro, except it has an indent with a "sticker" that reacts to temperature of the steel. Fairly accurate according to my meat thermometer and most importantly the markings respond quickly to temperature change. My only complaint is that you lose the min/max volume lines. They could have tried to includ those inside the steel or on the other side of the jug. Silly that Breville doesn't include this jug by default, because it really takes the guess work out of frothing milk and makes a huge difference to your drink if you get the temp right.

    The cup is fabricated from SS and has a pouring nozzle along with a temperature strip in the lower section of the cup. It senses the milk temperature and displays the range as a bar strip. the temperature indicated is fairly accurate for what it is being used for.
    - You do not want to wash this in the dishwasher but only handwash
    - good build quality and the SS metal is thick so it will last, at least the cup, the temperature strip is another question as to how long it will be viewable
    - Missing in my option is a pad on the base to tamp the milk after frothing it so that the foam separates from the milk
    - another addition that would improve this item is having a second temperature strip on the other side so when left-handed persons use it they can view the temperature

    I bought a coffee machine with a steaming wand and wanted to make hot chocolates. Without this temperature cup, I would never be able to do it! The hot milk makes the base of the cup too hot to hold with your fingers before it reaches the desired temperature, so you need that temp reading. It’s awesome. I clean it by hand in the sink and have had it for at least a year with no issues - still working perfectly.

    First Breville product that I purchased and so far, I'm quite happy with it and have since ditched my old pitcher that had no temperature gauge. As a newbie, I couldn't really gauge what "too hot to touch" means for me. This helped me find that spot, but having a visual reference on the cup without adding an additional thermometer inside is very convenient. The pitcher is also a nice size and I can steam milk for my bigger mugs

    I can't speak for its accuracy, but I do trust it and it's so far improved my steaming skills compared to the old pitcher which was purely guess work. For those also wanting to learn how hot 60-65C is, this is a must-have if you don't have/aren't willing to use an external thermometer.

    I honestly can’t believe I waited almost a year after getting my Breville espresso machine to buy this milk jug. If you’re someone who loves making lattes or cappuccinos at home, this little tool makes a huge difference.

    Before using this, I was constantly guessing whether my milk was too hot or not hot enough. Sometimes I’d get it right, but other times it would be either too cool or scalding.
