Bought a Shark upright carpet cleaner and it came with a sample size of this product. It worked good with the machine judging by the dirty water reservoir which was pretty disgusting. I could have maybe gone with a diff rug shampoo but I love the fresh smell that this product infuses into the clean rug. Effectiveness and smell were the primary drivers for me.
