- Reviewed in Canada on April 1, 2025I'm giving these Gabby's Dollhouse Magical Musical Ears a solid 4 out of 5! My toddler absolutely loves them, and they鈥檙e a huge hit for any little Gabby fan. The lights, sounds, and overall design are adorable, and she had a blast wearing them around the house and even on trips to the laundry room in our busy building.
That said, the three sound modes don鈥檛 work exactly as advertised. According to the instructions:
Gabby Mode (press the left ear) should play Gabby鈥檚 voice.
Magic Sounds Mode (press the right ear) should play magical sounds and songs.
Meow Mode (press both ears) should make everything sound like meows until you exit by pressing both ears again.
In reality, no matter which ear you press, you鈥檙e going to hear Gabby speaking or the magical sounds鈥攊t doesn鈥檛 really feel like separate modes. The only true distinction is Meow Mode, where everything turns into meowing until you exit it. It was a bit surprising at first, but honestly, my toddler didn鈥檛 care at all and just loved playing with it.
On the plus side, these ears are well-made鈥攕turdy but flexible enough for little heads. The volume is nice and quiet, so parents won鈥檛 be overwhelmed, and they light up beautifully in the dark. They also take four LR44 batteries, which are super easy to find and affordable on 麻豆区.
Overall, it鈥檚 a fun and durable toy that keeps my toddler entertained for hours. While the modes don鈥檛 work quite as expected, it鈥檚 still a great pick for any little Gabby fan!
