  I am using this to keep birds away from my vegetable beds and from the house perimeter in general. I used it once at a moderate setting but the birds were back the following morning. I increased the volume and there have been no birds in the vicinity since. Wonderful! The effect is long-lasting too. I turned it off the last two days as I was working in the area and found it a bit bothersome up close. Still no birds! This is the best product of this type that I have tried. I am really happy with it. The fact that it doesn`t require batteries is a bonus and the remote control is very convenient. If I had one suggestion to make, it would be to include a stake with the product.
