- Reviewed in Canada on April 24, 2024I live in a condo, so putting netting up is against the rules. So I used this netting to protect my ground level winterized planters & balcony furniture to keep it safe from nesting pigeons.
Last year I had two pigeons that were constantly on my balcony (especially in the spring). I would shoo the pigeons away several times a day, but somehow they managed to get under one of my wicker chairs and lay eggs. That gap under my chair was only 10 cm/4 inches. I ended up removing the nest.
This year those pigeons are back, and I heard them cooing, so I bought this netting and put it out. Strangely the pigeons were on a windowsill above my unit watching me putting out the netting. They were watching me and they were not happy.
Well to make a long story short this netting worked immediately. The pigeons have stopped coming to my balcony.
I won鈥檛 keep up the netting forever. Once I start my balcony garden in a months time, I鈥檒l remove the netting. However this netting allows you to make cuts. So this year I鈥檓 going to protect my balcony furniture by putting netting under my furniture to prevent the pigeons from getting under there. I鈥檓 even thinking of putting it on my balcony water fountain too. Last year the pigeons were drinking from that fountain and making a mess with their droppings.
This netting is 100% effective!
