  I bought this to be a stand of a 10 lbs projector, that has a 1/4 inch mounting hole. While the description boasts that the stand can hold more than 14 lbs, the mounting joint isn't firm enough to hold up this kind of weight. When the projector was attached, the mounting joint kept slipping, tilting the projector to undesired positions.
  Apart from this issue, it seems like it is sturdy, versatile stand.
