  Good for veggies, sure, BUT my most important use is keeping bread fresh and non-moldy for longer than any of the store/bakery-supplied "vented" or paper bags. Also, these bags can be washed and reused a number of times: I save them up to make a load, turn inside out, throw in the clothes washer with oxy-type bleach, detergent, low temp, extra rinse, max spin, add some towels to help agitation. Time dry at LOW temp. Turn them right-side out.
