  I first bought one of these for my daughter on a plane ride - she loves it! I'm getting them for all my friends kids. No mess "painting" - only downside is that my toddler pushed the brush down hard so some of the magic coating has scrapped off and the cardboard is slightly warped from having too much water squeezed out of the paint brush. But for the price its definitely worth it!!
