  It is definitely thicker than the blue solar blankets I have had in the past. Two issues with it are they claim that it keeps in more heat than the blue blankets and this is not true. We have found the opposite that the pool is actually been colder since we put on this blanket. The other issue is it is not very durable. I have only had it 3 weeks and several of the bubbles have fallen off !!! We are taking our pool down for the season but I doubt this blanket will make it through next season.
