This bead set is a joyful selection of brightly coloured beads, with lots of choice for customizing your own jewellery. The beads are fine-sized, so the kit is most appropriate for an older child (the product description says 14 - I think maybe at least 10?).
The good: * The polymer clay beads are consistent in size and colour. I do not see any that are cracked. * There is a nice variety in other beads to add interest and customization. All beads look to be of good quality (no cracks, no blocked holes) * The set includes tweezers to pick up the small beads - a helpful tool. * All the decorative beads (non-polymer clay) are a random assortment, but look nice. There is at least one of each letter in the black letter beads; there are also gold letter beads. You could use the letters beads to teach your child about histograms and probability.... * The plastic case is a great way to contain all the little pieces. I like that it has a folding hinge on one side, and the other three sides each have a plastic lock to secure the lid in place.
The bad: The product received has some differences from the product images. ** No earrings. ** No chains. ** Different assortment of charms (and in silver, not gold). ** Received small scissors instead of the snips shown. ** Only one role of string. etc. These differences are not significant, but worth noting as there may be a slight variation in what you receive.
Overall, a great set with a lot of creative potential.
