  Makes chopping quicker and slices uniform. Useful for grating small amounts and keeping everything together in the container.
  
  There are way more pieces that will ever be used and unless you throw everything in the dishwasher you'll have more to clean up.
  
  It's easier to just use a knife if you have some knife skills.
