An easy to setup and read weather station, with outdoor monitor for real local temps. Good screen size and looks nice, so I ditched my kitchen clock and I'm using this on my stuff charging table. Good instructions on how to setup, and setup was easy. Takes 5x AAA batteries in total. Two for the outdoor monitor (used good quality ones for that), three as backup for the station (used cheap ones there) if you also use the power cord. The outdoor monitor is 15 feet away and through a concrete wall (apt) and I have had no signal issues.
- Easy to read clock, great for a kitchen clock. - Easy to setup, good instructions. - Options to change all your units. 12/24hr clock, C/F, mg/hpa (pressure) - Accurate temp and humidity readings outside (tested with another make I have). - No issues setting up communications between the outdoor monitor and the station. - Has little legs to use on a table (my setup), or mounting holes on the back if you want it on a wall. But then you'll have that visible cable hanging. If you want batteries only (so no cable), it will be blank until you tap it to turn on the backlight, so no clock showing all the time. - Nice to have in the kitchen, can see the real temp outside while making your coffee to plan your day. No wind chill information though.
