Can't get plants out!

At first we loved them. They are sturdy, convenient size, neat to see thru the sides. But then we tried to remove the seedling to plant it and the trouble began. Can't get the plant out at all without practically destroying it. We've tried poking the bottom, loosening the sides, pinching, shaking... All futile. Eventually you get the top 1 inch or so of the dirt with the seedling to fall out, but that's it. Ridiculous and annoying. Would return them if I could. Really hope the plants survive.
