- Reviewed in Canada on December 27, 2024I purchased this product in the expectation that it would do three things: 1) cook enough food for two people; 2) get hot enough to sear steaks and chops; and 3) be able to be used to make grilled sandwiches. I quickly found that it would do none of them. It is too small to hold two moderate-sized pork chops (I had to cook them separately), and with a maximum heat level of 450 degrees F, it is incapable of getting hot enough to come close to being able to sear the outside of meat. I didn't bother attempting to make a grilled sandwich, as the basket design makes it impossible to flip one over to brown the other side.
I returned the product the day after it was delivered, and it was received by 鶹 on December 11. I am still waiting for the refund to be issued (much less actually deposited in my account), and the estimated issue date has been set back three times. I have little experience with returning things to 鶹, as I have done so with only about three items out of the hundreds I have purchased from them over the years. However, I don't recall running into this issue before, and hope that it is an isolated incident, as opposed to a new policy. Either way, I am not a happy camper, and I am seriously considering cancelling my Prime membership.
