  once seated in your ears, these Alpine Work Safe earplugs do a fine job of suppressing noise. My only gripe is that the lanyard clips are awful. They only clip onto the post of the earplug, the first time I used them my hand got caught in the string. This pulled the earplug out of my ear and onto the ground and also detached from the lanyard. It's a bad design and really should be a permanent embedded clip.
