Meh. I bought this one and the NJTY T-600-A (not on 麻豆区, I only see the T-600 there) at the same time, for comparison. The Sovarcate has much better screen, better ergonomy, more practical battery lid, and a more discrete laser pointer. The beep is more annoying and cannot be turned off, though, but I was ready to hack it open and remove or unplug the speaker, as I have read that other users have done.

So, all good and dandy... except on what really matters, which is temperature measurement. Comparing both, pointing at the same spot of something I know didn't change of temperature during my testing, the Sovarcate shows approx 1C or 1.5C above the NJTY. So far so good, I knew these things might not be super acurate, which is why I bought two of them, to compare and average in my head the real temp. The problem is: if I kept using the Sovarcate for a few mins (not necessarily just pressing non-stop the trigger), the temp measured of any object I tried would progressively approach the one measured by the NJTY, until finally becoming equal. And then it would still go on diminishing until stabilizing around -1C below the NJTY.

Then, when poiting at the same initial object from 10 mins ago, the NJTY would show the same temp, while the Sovarcate would show -2C or -2.5C below the one he initially measured. And after letting rest the Sovarcate for 10-20 mins, now it would go up again to being +1C above the NJTY - which during all this testing measured that object almost exactly the same temp each time, within 0.1C.

I am now wondering if the fact of holding the device with my hand for 10 mins would warm it up and mess with the measurements somehow - unintuitively in the opposite direction.

So, all in all, I decided to keep the NJTY, which was actually cheaper, and return this one, the Sovarcate.

Look, the thermometer is ok if you just need a rough idea of what you want to measure (eg: is only around 100C or already above 200C?), though I have not compared both of them at temps significantly above room temperature - the difference might grow bigger there. Other than the actual quality and consistency of the measurements, on all the other areas it is better than the NJTY, which feels like an older model. I might have ketp it if they were at the same price.
