  They work just fine with a small Sharp adding machine I have. I'm going through a lot of these rolls adding up my business expenses. What I REALLY dislike about these is the way the paper tears. Unless I am ultra-precise & slowly tear the tape off, it always tears unevenly. Absolutely drives me nuts. It's thick paper. There are good & not so good things in this fact.
  
  Overall, it's a good product. I just wish it would tear with a clean edge.
